An artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Advertising, Nancy focuses on the creative, among other things, for The Fontayne Group. She has extensive experience in studio arts, illustration and design,
and has applied these traditional skills and talents to Web
environments as well.
The seventh of eight daughters, Nancy was born and educated in Manila, Philippines where she also spent some years singing professionally. During her university and diva years Nancy also honed her skills on canvas as much as at the microphone. It was her singing career that put her in her first flight ever to Malaysia. Traveling runs in the family, where 3 of her sisters took flights as stewardesses before going back to their respective careers. Nancy came close to being a flight stewardess too but the first band she was in got famous and life became full of concerts, tv appearances, pictorials, rehearsals, and more traveling.
Before coming to the United States, Nancy traveled to Singapore, Indonesia, and twice to Paris, where she enrolled for two semesters at the Alliance Francaise to study French. She joined The Fontayne Group as an intern in 1995.
Nancy designed and created websites for the Sonoma County
Tourism Program, Bal Harbour Florida, AH&LA, California Tourism's Press Section and media events, California Finds, California Countryside, and the California Travel Industry Association.
She has also created the Austrian National Tourist Office and Austria's Imperial Cities websites, and maintained sites for pro bono clients such as International Institute for Peace through Tourism (IIPT), and the company websites. Nancy also helped create our corporate website and worked on updating the design for Travel Takes, the firm's award-winning travel newsletter, currently on hiatus, and other 'creative' props that the company might need. In addition to these responsibilities, Nancy worked on the design of ads and other creative collaterals for clients such as the Seven Crown Resorts, Dolphin Bay Hotel & Residences and Placer Valley Tourism.
She is fluent in English and Tagalog, and remembers some phrases from those French lessons as well. Nancy was eight months pregnant to Tisha when she flew home a second time from Paris -- and since then, Tisha has traveled with her Mom back and forth to Los Angeles until they settled in the US. In 2000, she met fellow parishioner, Michael Patrick Sheehan and got married 3 years later in their parish church. The Sheehans live in Los Angeles. In addition to her corporate creativity, Nancy is an accomplished fine artist. |
