This site is created and maintained by The Fontayne Group's cyber-team. Here's who they are and what they do on the site: Cynthia Fontayne (concepts, writing, coding, designing, image sourcing, scanning), Nancy G. Sheehan (illustration, programming, page design, coding, linking, scanning, tech stuff). The core team is backed by Bonnie Fernald Fontayne (on-line promotion, research, tech stuff, content contributions), and Nonette Puno (proofing!!). Most of the site was created with FrontPage and then redone with Dreamweaver with additional HTML and Java programming (yeah, we coulda done it all by hand, but why push a hand model when there's a John Deere riding mower in the shed?).
Many of the images on the site were created and are the property of The Fontayne Group, Inc., taken from our collection of old books and ephemera. Others come from some of the wonderful Dover copyright-free collections of vintage images, used in accordance with Dover permissions granted in those publications; thank you, Dover.
All the content is copyrighted, needless to say. But we invite you to link to any pages which strike your fancy. And you can quote us, IF, you give proper attribution and a reference to the URL, if not a live link. Fair enough?
